About The Position

This is maintenance and personal services work of a supervisory nature in overseeing a crew engaged in modification, maintenance, and repair of a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment associated with snow fighting and other construction-related jobs. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, supervising, and inspecting a variety of maintenance projects; keeping administrative records and developing budgets and reports; and monitoring materials and supplies and use of proper safety precautions.

Requirements

  • A four (4) year combination of training, experience, and education in highway, bridge, and equipment repair and maintenance and/or construction including at least one (1) year of lead worker experience.
  • Valid Class C with the ability to obtain a Class A license within probationary period
  • Completion of the 30 hour OSHA Safety course in construction (20 CFR Part 1926)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with and knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment maintenance schedules and repairs
  • Highly organized and proficient with computers which includes diagnostic software
  • State of Maine inspection licenses A, D, & T preferred
