About The Position

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator to support efficient, compliant, and well-supported day-to-day transportation operations. The role supports the Transportation Supervisor and drivers through daily route planning, staffing, and training. It includes coordinating route preparation and monitoring, supporting drivers and customer service, resolving routine delivery issues, covering routes when needed, and leading operational improvement projects related to routing workflows, fleet compliance, and driver safety.

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience in transportation or driver operations.
• Valid non-CDL driving license and a consistently good driving record.
• Strong knowledge of driver operational procedures.
• Expert-level ability to provide daily support and instruction to drivers.
• Ability to solve routine issues involving routing, driver staffing, and common customer service challenges.
• Willingness to cover routes when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operational planning, including efficient route preparation, planning, and monitoring to achieve strong service performance.
• Provide phone support and collaborate with drivers, customer service, and management.
• Resolve routine customer delivery issues.
• Cover vacant routes or driver absences as needed.
• Lead special projects to improve routing workflows, fleet compliance, and driver safety procedures.
• Provide daily support and instruction to the driver team.
