About The Position

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Coordinator for its Transportation Division in Memphis, TN. This role supports distribution centers through transportation planning for furniture and inbound networks. The position requires excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills, as well as a proactive attitude. The Transportation team is crucial for managing the global supply chain, ensuring efficient and reliable movement of products across various freight operations. The Supply Chain organization is recognized for its sustainability efforts and people-first approach, with over 4,000 full-time associates across its domestic operations, including large package/furniture distribution centers, small package eCommerce distribution centers, upholstery factories, and a Transportation Department with over 30 professionals in Memphis, TN.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 6 months - 1 year of experience in logistics or supply chain industry.
  • At least 1 year of proficient experience in MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to work well with others and support team goals.
  • Maintain flexibility and accept other duties as assigned while conducting business in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Follow a load plan and assign carriers per a routing guide.
  • Manage time effectively across emails, load planning, metrics updating, and communication with carriers, DCs, and hubs.
  • Track loads from pickup to delivery.
  • Maintain trailer pools for carriers and DCs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose in-transit issues for all loads from DC.
  • Answer emails in a timely manner and organize solutions based on urgency.
  • Participate in conference calls with WSI corporate partners, freight carriers, warehouses, final mile hubs & stores.
  • Run and update reports as needed within various applications.
  • Extract data to create reports and distribute to internal and external business partners.
  • Operate and switch between multiple DCs as needed and work from multiple interfaces.
