About The Position

Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation (JFCAC) is seeking a full-time EZMO Transportation Coordinator to lead, develop, coordinate, and advance the EZMO transportation program. This role focuses on building and sustaining a volunteer driver network to provide transportation for older adults, low-income individuals, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable populations. The Coordinator will act as a regional transportation advocate, identifying barriers and developing solutions to increase access to essential services. Responsibilities include overseeing program staff, volunteer initiatives, community partnerships, performance measures, and compliance, while ensuring the long-term sustainability of transportation services. This is an in-office position located in Hillsboro, MO, with a 36-hour work week and Fridays off. The organization is a non-profit committed to assisting low-income individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Social Services, Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field, or equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation programs, mobility management, volunteer management, community services, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Public Speaking Skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Will be required to travel in or out of community with own transportation.
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Driver’s License and provide proof of vehicle insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience recruiting, developing, and managing volunteer programs are strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with elderly, disabled, low-income, or underserved populations preferred.
  • Experience with grant-funded programs, community collaboration, outreach, and stakeholder engagement preferred.
  • Community Mobility Management certification (such as Certified Community Mobility Manager (CCMM)) preferred.
  • Employees not currently certified must demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain an approved mobility management certification within twenty-four (24) months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive volunteer driver recruitment, retention, recognition, and engagement strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, faith-based groups, businesses, civic organizations, and educational institutions to recruit volunteer drivers.
  • Create and coordinate outreach campaigns, presentations, recruitment events, and networking opportunities to increase volunteer driver participation.
  • Monitor volunteer driver utilization, coverage areas, retention rates, and service gaps, and implement strategies to address identified needs.
  • Oversee driver program standards, onboarding processes, training requirements, recognition efforts, and compliance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Transportation Specialist to ensure effective volunteer recruitment, orientation, communication, and support.
  • Obtain and manage data associated with volunteers and clients participating with EZMO Transportation.
  • Utilize appropriate information systems for volunteer management, client data tracking, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the EZMO transportation program and related mobility initiatives.
  • Identify transportation barriers affecting vulnerable populations and facilitate community-based solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with local governments, healthcare providers, community organizations, employers, and educational institutions.
  • Serve as JFCAC's representative on transportation, mobility, and community access initiatives.
  • Attend required training, webinars, conference calls, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Facilitate community engagement activities, stakeholder meetings, and outreach efforts to gather data on transportation needs.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to identify and pursue funding opportunities, grants, and community partnerships.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic plans to improve transportation access.
  • Research and promote transportation best practices, innovative mobility solutions, and community transportation resources.
  • Monitor transportation program performance, utilization trends, customer needs, volunteer engagement, and service outcomes.
  • Review and analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and support reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, grant, agency, and program requirements.
  • Prepare reports, workplan updates, performance measures, and other documentation.
  • Oversee the use of transportation technology platforms and information systems.
  • Serve as a resource for community members, partner agencies, and service providers regarding transportation options.
  • Support access to transportation resources for individuals facing barriers to essential needs.
  • Assist with the resolution of customer concerns, service issues, and escalated transportation-related matters.
  • Promote awareness of the EZMO program through presentations, networking events, and outreach activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
