About The Position

Join PepsiCo in a game-changing role as the Transportation Coordinator for our Tolleson Club Distribution Center. In this high-impact position, you’ll oversee all key transportation tasks for Tolleson Club and work closely with our third-party logistics (3PL) partner. You will be at the forefront of transportation scheduling for this site while ensuring operational excellence from day one. As the Warehouse Transportation Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in driving operational excellence, team development, and strategic 3PL partnerships while supporting all aspects of the Inbound/Outbound Dock Schedule.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of experience in transportation or logistical operations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence across functions, and drive results in a fast-paced environment while leading with a mindset to exceed all Objectives/Metrics.
  • Familiarity with WMS, SAP, transportation systems, and labor management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent cross functional collaboration, team building skills, and the ability to influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Comfortable working in unstructured environments and making quick, informed decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain preferred.
  • Familiarity with EDI a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead communication with all transport carriers, utilizing high level planning and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Solve day-to-day transportation challenges while maintaining & exceeding KPIs with scheduling.
  • Partner with 3PL on dock scheduling of all inbound and outbound finished good and material loads, implementation of the dock schedule and execution of the dock schedule.
  • Drive improvements in dock performance by providing a strategic dock schedule.
  • Leverage WMS Red Prairie, SAP and Spotlight Optimization tools to enhance scheduling and product availability.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies, including safety, transportation, accounting, and purchasing.
  • Prepare for and adapt processes for PGT and Blue Yonder system implementation in P12 2026.
  • Ensure on-time delivery aligned with Requested/Scheduled Arrival Dates to support outbound customer demand.
  • Build strong relationships across the PepsiCo Power of One network, including corporate partners, Co-Packers, Repackers, and manufacturing across the food and beverage business units.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational issues and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee all transportation responsibilities for Tolleson Club in Tolleson, AZ.
  • Route orders daily in compliance with the transportation route guide, ensuring timely execution to meet the requested ship date and secure carrier capacity ahead of the competition.
  • Track carrier performance and troubleshoot any loads that may be at risk of missing requested arrival date.
  • Ensure all new orders comply with PepsiCo guidelines on weight and method of shipment.
  • Work with carriers to schedule all assigned outbound and inbound shipments to/from our facility.
  • Work with all carriers on daily execution.
  • Monitor and maintain proper trailer pool for multiple carriers daily.
  • Quickly adapt to volatility in the transport market due to driver availability, rising fuel prices, weather, etc.
  • Work with 3PL Management, Supervisors, Leads, Welcome Center Associates and Operators to deliver daily and weekly measurables.
  • Work with COE (Center of Excellence) and Service Team on scheduling issues.
  • Work with COE, Warehouse and Transportation on loads not scheduled by end of period.
  • Maintain reason code input within SAP for open order status reporting.
  • Review previous day’s dock schedule to ensure all orders are shipped; if not, ensure timely reschedule.
  • Collaborate with the Shipping Office regarding specific shipment requirements ex: LTLs, sample orders, new innovation.
  • Accountable for compliance to the Past Due Inbound Report and Shipment Status Report.
  • Ownership of daily, weekly and period service metrics as they relate to the role.
  • Cross train to support two other distribution centers as well as other service center functions.
  • All other duties as assigned.
