About The Position

BASIS Baton Rouge Primary Mid City Campus is seeking qualified candidates for a Part-Time Transportation Coordinator to join our bright, passionate team! The Part-Time Transportation Coordinator supports the implementation of school transportation policies and procedures by serving as the primary liaison between families, school staff, and the transportation provider. This position focuses on parent communication, transportation-related issue resolution, and managing operational changes to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive transportation experience for students and families.

Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond professionally to families.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and student information or communication systems.

Nice To Haves

Experience in school operations, transportation, customer service, or administrative support preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for parent transportation inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Communicate route assignments, schedule updates, service changes, delays, and transportation-related notifications to families.
Manage transportation registrations, ridership updates, and stop change requests in accordance with school policy.
Coordinate with the transportation provider and school administration to resolve issues and ensure service continuity.
Maintain accurate transportation records, contact information, and communication logs.
Support implementation and consistent application of transportation policies and procedures.
Assist with emergency communications and transportation incident follow-up when necessary.
Monitor parent feedback and identify opportunities to improve communication and service delivery.
