About The Position

As our DC Transportation Clerk, you will provide administrative support for the Transportation Department by maintaining records, processing data, and managing reporting to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable maintenance and transportation information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of office or clerical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • RTA work order system experience
  • Worldwide Chain (WCS) Inventory Management System familiarity
  • AS400 or Oracle Financial systems experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide, review, and distribute transportation reports as needed to support department operations.
  • Collect, review, and process vendor invoices and associated documentation.
  • Maintain and update the RTA work order system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Meet weekly and fiscal period closing deadlines for reporting and documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with internal partners.
  • Review, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing departmental mail.
  • Order and maintain office and departmental supplies as required.
  • Complete and maintain monthly fuel consumption and mileage reports.
  • Participate in training, educational opportunities, and system updates as offered.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
