The inspector represents MBP on construction sites, verifies that work conforms to specifications, codes, contracts, plans, approved shop drawings, material lists, and permit requirements, and coordinates with agency personnel, contractors, and MBP colleagues to address discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. The role includes field inspections, materials testing, basic to moderate surveying and measurement, review of payment applications, maintenance of project records, and support for project reporting, schedules, and budgets. Duties also include final inspections and punchlists, maintaining daily diaries and other project records, tracking submittals and requests for information, preparing or checking reports and monthly estimates, and communicating professionally with clients, contractors, the traveling public, property owners, and other stakeholders. Required certifications must be obtained within specified timelines and maintained for assigned work. The position involves regular travel and driving, and outdoor work at construction sites in varied weather and on uneven terrain. MBP offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer-paid insurance for individual employees, a 401(k) profit-sharing plan, a health savings account with company contributions, competitive compensation, possible semi-annual bonuses, paid time off, tuition assistance, student loan repayment, gym reimbursement, pet insurance, paid volunteer time, mental health resources, wellness activities, and training and development. MBP covers costs associated with obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications and licenses. The role pays $25.00–$30.00 per hour; actual compensation depends on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Employment is contingent on background, driving-record, reference, and work-history checks. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
