Timmons Group is seeking a Construction Engineer to join their Infrastructure Transportation Group in their Richmond, VA office. This role involves overseeing the construction phase of projects from a contract administration perspective, once design teams complete their approval process. Projects may involve sensitive political or environmental concerns and require coordination with property owners, dry utility companies, and local county and state agencies. The Construction Engineer works for the Timmons Group Project Manager as the project transitions from approval to bidding and through construction. The position manages all necessary documents associated with each project, including Bidding Documents, Payment Requisition Recommendations, Requests for Information (RFI’s), Change Orders (CO), Potential Change Orders (PCO’s), Submittals, Daily Work Reports (DWR), Punch Lists, Project Closeout Completion Letters, Bond Release, Meeting Minutes, Monthly Progress Reports, Loan Draws, Escrow Fund Releases, Material Inspection Reports, and correspondence with various governmental agencies. The position receives direction from the Design Project Manager but may be required to make independent decisions and communications with external parties.
