This position will manage the daily traffic operations of all assigned Tyson facilities. The role involves making cost-effective decisions independently, managing time effectively, and prioritizing multiple tasks, deadlines, and issues. The associate will utilize various systems, including AI, to streamline work processes and communicate effectively with other business units, customers, and sales teams to ensure awareness of issues and updates. Responsibilities include following up on late deliveries with carriers, working with sales, carriers, and plants to minimize costs associated with detention claims, unloading, and related delivery problems, and monitoring carrier performance to ensure customer and plant service. The role also involves providing necessary equipment to plants for continuous loading and consistency with sales requirements, confirming loads with carriers, and acting as a liaison between sales and carriers to develop programs that enhance Tyson's market position. Utilizing automated systems and tools to identify late loads and communicate with all affected parties is also a key duty. The work shift is varied, with primary schedules including Sunday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Friday, and every other Saturday, from 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM (or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM depending on the region). Another possible schedule is Tuesday-Saturday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend/night rotation shifts. All schedules are subject to change every 6-8 months.
