About The Position

This position will manage the daily traffic operations of all assigned Tyson facilities. The role requires the ability to work independently and make cost-effective decisions, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and issues. The associate will utilize several systems, including AI, to streamline work processes and communicate effectively with other business units, customers, and sales to ensure awareness of issues and updates. Responsibilities include following up on late deliveries with carriers, working with sales, carriers, and plants to minimize costs associated with detention, unloading, and related delivery problems, and monitoring carrier performance to ensure customer and plant service. The role also involves providing equipment as needed by the plant to ensure continuous loading and consistency with sales requirements, confirming all loads with carriers, and acting as the liaison between sales and carriers to develop programs that enhance Tyson's market position. Additionally, the associate will utilize automated systems and tools to identify late loads and communicate with all affected parties.

Requirements

  • HS diploma required; broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field.
  • 3 plus years of experience or advanced degree with 1 plus years of Truck traffic experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with RR sites and TES programs preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple levels of management, carriers, and vendors.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and with others in a team setting fostering a positive goal-oriented environment.
  • Resume required to be considered for this role.
