About The Position

This role is crucial in ensuring the safe transport of residents to various locations, assisting them with their needs during outings, and supporting resident activities when not involved in transportation. Requirements

  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Certified Nursing Assistant required (CNA)
  • Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience providing care to the elderly population

Nice To Haves

  • Geriatric Nursing Assistant preferred (GNA)

Responsibilities

  • Assists in onboarding, securing, and offboarding residents for safe transport to various locations.
  • May participate in resident assistance during outings, including transferring residents, toileting, hygiene, and eating.
  • Assists with shopping tasks, such as reaching items on high shelves for wheelchair residents.
  • Assists with moving food orders from the counter to the table.
  • Ensures provision and receipt of documentation relating to medical visits.
  • Ensures protection of residents’ personal health information and confidentiality.
  • Supports resident activities by escorting residents to and from activities and programs.
  • Assists residents with participation in activities.
  • May support transportation to/from on-site clinics, dialysis den, salon, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including possible floor assignments and assisting with evacuations and emergencies.
  • Assist with orienting volunteers.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
