Position Summary Assists public housing community residents while being transported in NRHA automobiles, vans, and other vehicles to assigned locations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification.
- One-year prior experience in van operations, with experience in transporting elderly and disabled persons preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience necessary to obtain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Subject to a background check, pre-employment health check, and reference verification prior to hire.
- Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to NRHA’s code of conduct and ethics policies.

Responsibilities
- Assists passengers with boarding and exiting the van safely.
- Provides information to residents and others regarding the resident services transportation program, van schedule, resident services programs, and other related information.
- Maintains and submits daily mileage log, incident reports, gas card usage, and other documentation as directed.
- Cleans vehicle interior as assigned.
- Reports any malfunctions or accidents involving assigned vehicle to ensure the safety and security of passengers.
