About The Position

A Transportation Agent is responsible for executing delivery operations by following established routes, communicating with drivers, customers, and dispensary employees, and ensuring timely and compliant transportation. The role includes maintaining contact with dispensary staff to coordinate handoffs, handling and verifying manifest signatures accurately, and operating a tablet-based delivery system to track shipments and update records in real time. Transportation Agents monitor deliveries, address issues such as delays or discrepancies, and ensure all activities comply with MCA regulations as well as company safety and operational standards. Please note: This position involves working with plant material, which may include exposure to pollen, allergens, and other plant-related substances. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with zero points or restrictions
  • Ability to operate a conversion van/box safely and legally
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • As a condition of employment, all Curio Wellness employees must comply with the State of Maryland requirements, which include providing a copy of their fingerprints in the required format and consenting to an FBI Background Check.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and dispensary employees to support delivery operations and ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Maintain consistent contact with dispensary staff to coordinate delivery arrivals and exchanges.
  • Handle, review, and verify manifest signatures for accuracy and compliance.
  • Operate a tablet-based delivery system to track shipments and update delivery status in real time.
  • Monitor deliveries and address issues such as delays, discrepancies, or documentation errors.
  • Ensure all activities comply with MCA regulations and follow company safety and operational standards.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
  • Pack and load product onto trucks according to company specifications.
  • Unload and carry totes weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of delivery operations.
  • Validate the accuracy of each delivery and ensure deliveries are made using controlled methods.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, respond to questions, and provide information.
  • Comply with all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.
