About The Position

As the Transport Trailer Apprentice (Level 3 or 4), you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator and the other Tractor/Trailer Technician/Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action. Requirements

  • Registered Apprentice with the Provincial Training Board either Level 3 or 4.
  • Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam.
  • Graduation from a recognized certificate program (e.g., Truck and Transport Technician, Heavy Duty Technician).
  • Desire to obtain your Journeyman's certificate.
  • Effective time management and team focus.
  • May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in the airline, automotive, retail or hospitality industries.
  • Transferable skills from previous industries.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet.
