Safely and courteously transport patients between nursing units, diagnostic areas, and other departments. Operate designated patient transport elevators to ensure efficiency and comfort. Treat every patient and guest with dignity, empathy, and respect. Communicate all stages of patient transport clearly with the dispatcher. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, ancillary departments, and medical center personnel. Proactively report delays, barriers, or service issues and escalate patient‑experience concerns when needed. Prioritize patient, visitor, and coworker safety at all times. Use transport equipment safely and correctly. Immediately report unsafe equipment or practices to leadership. Deliver timely, reliable patient transport while meeting productivity expectations. Attend required trainings, in‑services, and staff meetings. Follow all departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Take initiative to support continuous improvement across departments. Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Protect patient and guest privacy during all interactions and transports.
