Skilled Transport Refrigeration Technician
About The Position
CSTK Inc. is an award-winning Authorized Thermo King dealership group providing a complete line of refrigerated transportation products, including parts, service, aftermarket accessories, trailer repair, and technology solutions. In addition, we also provide sales, parts, and service for the top construction equipment brands, horse and livestock trailers, and heavy-duty truck outfitting in our region. As a Skilled Transport Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of Carrier and Thermo King Refrigeration units. This includes diagnosing, repairing, adjusting, and modifying all components, and ensuring paperwork is updated and submitted upon completion of work.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with transport refrigeration and or HVAC experience
- Thermo King refrigeration repair or HVAC
- Diesel engine repair, a plus but not required
- Low voltage electrical systems
- High voltage electrical systems
- Microprocessors
- EPA Certification 608 Universal or Type 1 and 2
- 609 Certification
- Must supply own tools
- Must be able to work overtime and on-call as needed
- Ability to achieve and maintain proper certifications and training
- Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects
- Use computers for web-based training and work order system
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Ability to retain knowledge of standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
- Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier
- Must be able to pass a DOT approved physical
