Transport Semi Driver - Class A CDL
About The Position
The Transport Driver delivers product from the processing plant to branches, stores, and customer locations. The driver unloads pallets using a pallet jack and places product in coolers. At locations without a loading dock, the driver may unload cases by hand, stack them onto a two-wheel cart, and move them into the cooler. Duties may also include using a hook to move stacks of milk between trailers, rolling pallet carts into customer coolers, and switching drop trailers. The driver returns empty pallets, pallet carts, and milk cases to the processing plant and transports required paperwork and inter-company mail between locations. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor are required. This is a full-time position with benefits. The schedule is a five-day work week, with days off varying by route and typical start times between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Routes may involve one or two overnight stays per week. Schedules may vary, so flexibility is required. Applicants must be able to work Saturdays, some holidays, and overtime. OTR experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Class A CDL, as indicated by the job title and role.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays, some holidays, and overtime.
- Ability to perform the physical material-handling duties described, including lifting product and moving carts.

Responsibilities
- Deliver product from the processing plant to branches, stores, and customer locations.
- Unload pallets using a pallet jack and place product in coolers.
- At locations without docks, unload cases by hand, stack them on a two-wheel cart, and move them into the cooler.
- Use a hook on occasion to move stacks of milk from one trailer to another.
- Roll pallet carts off the trailer and into customers’ coolers.
- For drop-trailer locations, unhook the trailer and hook up an empty trailer for return to the processing plant.
- Load empty pallets, pallet carts, and milk cases onto the trailer and return them to the processing plant.
- Deliver required paperwork and inter-company mail and return them to the processing plant.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
