About The Position
Franz Family Bakery, a company with a 120-year history of baking and career growth, is seeking a Class A CDL Transport Driver. Founded in 1906 in the Pacific Northwest, Franz is one of the country's most successful bakeries, producing a variety of baked goods under premium labels. The Class A Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bakery products between facilities and distribution locations, operating single and/or double combinations in compliance with DOT regulations. This includes loading and unloading products, returning equipment, and ensuring timely deliveries throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL with an acceptable and verifiable driving record
- Two years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass a DOT-regulated drug screen, including marijuana
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and any assigned shift
- Must join the union within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience driving doubles preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate single and double trailer combinations on city, interstate, and regional routes
- Transport bakery products to depots and distribution centers
- Load and unload trailers at assigned destinations
- Return empty transport racks and equipment to the bakery plant
- Complete assigned routes safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Follow all DOT requirements, company policies, and Franz Core Values
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
