About The Position
Join our Adult Day Health team as a Transportation Driver, providing safe, reliable transportation for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Help participants stay active, connected, and engaged while supporting daily activities at the center.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Haitian Creole and English required
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Full, valid Massachusetts driver’s license held for at least 2 years
- Valid vehicle registration and insurance
- 2 years of passenger transportation or 14-passenger van/bus driving experience
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
- Dependable, compassionate, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Safely transport participants between their homes, the center, appointments, and community activities
- Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing mobility equipment
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance needs
- Support center staff with participant supervision, recreational activities, meals, and general assistance
