About The Position

The Transport Aide/Driver is responsible for transporting patients in wheelchairs or stretchers as requested from various areas of the hospital and safely getting them to their ordered location. This position is based within the Jefferson Regional Central Transportation Department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR/BLS required upon hire or obtained within the 30 days of hire.
• Current and Valid AR Driver's License
• Must be at least 21 years of age due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/move patients and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to hospital policies
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patients in a compassionate and respectful manner
• Must have a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting a plus.
