About The Position

The Transplant Coordinator provides organ screening support for Paragonix transplant partners. The coordinator screens, manages, and presents donor offers from the OPTN provider to the appropriately designated physician or designee in accordance with OPTN guidelines and Paragonix/Transplant Advocate policies and protocols. The role also includes hospital EMR documentation and interaction with recipient patients as directed by the designated protocol. The position is open to US-based candidates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health science, nursing, general science, or equivalent experience in a transplant-related field.
• Three years of experience in a clinical transplant-related field.

Nice To Haves

• ABTC certification as a CCRN or CPTC.

Responsibilities

• Screen offers from the OPTN contractor according to transplant center criteria and OPTN policy within the designated assignment.
• Maintain required training and credentials for hospital, Paragonix, and OPTN computer systems.
• Communicate clear, concise, and pertinent clinical information and provide customer service to internal and external staff.
• Be reachable by telephone within five minutes during the 24-hour call shift.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the usability of all Paragonix devices.
• Collaborate with the team to train and evaluate new members.
• Provide customer service and communicate with transplant center recipients and family members.
• Complete appropriate pre- and post-transplant documentation in the hospital EMR and OPTN contractor computer system.
