About The Position

The Donor Coordinator Transplant Assistant will provide essential clerical and administrative support to the Donor Coordinator RN, ensuring the smooth operation of the organ offer and acceptance process. This role involves initial response to UNOS organ offer notifications, documentation, communication with OPO coordinators, and various logistical tasks. The assistant will play a vital role in maintaining transplant readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements related.

Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Two to five years of progressively responsible secretarial/administrative experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Initiative and the ability to take on responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including but not limited to word processing and spreadsheet development
  • Ability to work independently and/or within a team-oriented environment; using appropriate CQI tools
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individual personalities
  • Ability to work in an environment where access to and control of confidential information is significant issue
  • Ability to work independently and for extended periods at a computer

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in organ transplantation or a similar environment
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic or OTTR
  • Familiarity with Teams
