About The Position
Faupel Automotive Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Ford Transmission Technician to join its service team in Henderson, Kentucky. The technician diagnoses, services, repairs, and rebuilds transmissions, with a focus on Ford vehicles, and ensures vehicles meet the company’s standards for quality, safety, and performance. Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably specializing in transmission diagnosis and repair.
- Strong knowledge of Ford transmission systems, drivetrain components, and related electronic controls.
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing automatic transmissions.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic trouble codes, technical service information, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency with automotive scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized transmission tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative service team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automatic and manual transmission issues on Ford vehicles.
- Perform transmission inspections, maintenance, rebuilds, replacements, and related drivetrain repairs.
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and specialized testing procedures to identify transmission performance problems.
- Diagnose and repair transmission-related mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic control system issues.
- Inspect transmission components, identify necessary repairs, and provide accurate repair recommendations.
- Perform transmission fluid services, filter replacements, and other preventative maintenance as needed.
- Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reinstall transmissions and related components when necessary.
- Use manufacturer-recommended procedures, technical information, and diagnostic tools to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
- Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and document diagnostic findings and completed work.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Stay current with Ford transmission technologies, repair procedures, and industry best practices.
