About The Position

BD Diesel Performance is hiring a Transmission Technician (Level I) to join their Transmission Department. This role is part of the effort to expand operations. The ideal candidate will have a moderate understanding of the job with 1-2 years of general work experience, the ability to work with minimal supervision, be self-motivated, a team player with a positive attitude, and possess strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. They should also be experienced with basic hand tools in a production environment and be able to manually lift and/or move items weighing up to 49lbs.

Responsibilities

Performs parts cleaning
Picks transmission cores
Tears down transmissions
Inspects cores for surface preparation, prepares surfaces
Paints casings and accessories
Finishes and packages transmissions
Trains existing and new team members as required
Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling, including calibration
Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area
