About The Position

The Global Transmission Calibration Engineer helps develop the customer driving experience and optimize fuel economy. The role develops, verifies, and releases transmission calibrations for automatic transmission applications; performs hands-on, in-vehicle calibration development; and supports test trips to verify proper transmission operation across environmental conditions. The position also supports other assigned powertrain development activities.

The engineer coordinates activities of global teams conducting vehicle development for global markets and works with a global team to manage transmission calibration project deliverables for assigned projects. The role uses in-vehicle test instrumentation, ETAS-INCA calibration tools, and mathematical analysis tools such as Matlab.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in Powertrain Calibration or a related field.
• INCA/Canalyzer experience.
• Prior automotive experience; university SAE or other experience is acceptable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Desire to perform in-vehicle test and development work in addition to analysis or desk work.
• Willingness to work with global teams.
