About The Position

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a dedicated and skilled Transitional Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team, specializing in Orthopedics. This full-time day shift position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care within a Magnet-designated, full-service hospital that has been a leader in North Texas healthcare since 1966. You will utilize the Nursing Process to provide care, including OR RN Surgery Circulator duties, patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation. Requirements

Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)

Nice To Haves

BSN (Preferred)
2-3 years of acute care RN experience (Med-Surg, L&D, ICU or ED) (Strongly Preferred)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
