About The Position

The Transition Team Lead is responsible for leading the work activity at a job site, ensuring assigned labor hours are met, and maintaining the overall safety of employees, clients, and the job site. This role involves training and supervising team members, developing the team through planning and execution of tasks, monitoring company guidelines and policies, and ensuring safety. The Lead communicates project details, manages labor hours for billing, ensures necessary tools and supplies are available, and maintains project management tools for scheduling and tracking job status. Specific duties vary depending on the type of project, including estate sales, packing/moving, clean-out, online auctions, and auction pickups.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent training required.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced and unique work environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding customer service, organizational, written, verbal and communication skills are requirements of this role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervise team members.
  • Develop and mentor the team through flawless planning and execution of tasks.

  • Ensure all tools and supplies are properly maintained and reach each job site.
  • Lead the team in the execution of tasks needed to complete the project with the allocated labor hours.
  • Report all incidents and/or accidents to management in a timely manner.
  • Monitor/reinforce safety procedures.
  • Communicate updates to clients and management as requested.
  • Handle any immediate employee concerns or disciplinary needs per Company policy.
  • Notify and assist management with any ongoing or major employee issues or disciplinary action.
  • Ensure team member hours are reported to management for payroll in a timely manner.
  • Communicate project details to the team, including client needs, job goals, pricing strategies, and safety precautions.
  • Responsible for labor hours and reporting S&O labor accrued for proper billing to client.
  • Ensure there is a clean bathroom for the team; assign via rotation.
  • Pick up supplies from storage and ensure the team has necessary tool kits.
  • Ensure tool kits are restocked or assist management in keeping kits stocked.
  • Work with management to ensure all materials arrive on the jobsite.
  • Maintain project management tool for scheduling and tracking job status, communicate to management any anticipated delays or escalate for needed support.
  • Sort & organize, merchandise & price contents of house for estate sales.
  • Set up inside signage, cleaning, and prepare a master list of mass pricing for the Cashier for estate sales.
  • Organize aprons, outdoor signs, empty boxes, bags, and wrapping supplies for estate sales.
  • Walk property, check rafters, crawl spaces for sale items and note any clean-out needed for estate sales.
  • Organize boxes and wrapping paper under the hold table for estate sales.
  • Remove and organize signs after estate sales.
  • Stack and prepare all company property for loading/delivery to storage after estate sales.
  • Ensure employee purchases are totaled and paid for after estate sales.
  • Walk property to ensure all clean-out is done after estate sales.
  • Ensure transfer of knowledge to the clean-out team.
  • Supervise any donation pick-up.
  • Assist management in totaling sales for estate sales.
  • Ensure all boxes are properly labeled for packing/moving.
  • Create a Master Inventory list for packing/moving.
  • Document any broken items with pictures prior to packing and note on the master inventory list.
  • Communicate special instructions to movers.
  • Box LIFO needs and appropriately label them for the client and movers.
  • Ensure the team cleans up, sweeps, and takes out trash after packing/moving.
  • Take inventory of supplies used for appropriate chargeback to the client.
  • Coordinate with movers on the day of the move.
  • Ensure all materials are hauled away to recycle or storage for reuse.
  • Ensure all trash is removed.
  • Ensure the client is fully resettled into their new home.
  • Sort and box contents of a property into donation, trash, or recycle for clean-out.
  • Sort and organize contents into meaningful auction lots for online auctions.
  • Remove garbage and donations from the home prior to auction pickup.
  • Follow online auction guidelines for taking pictures and descriptions.
  • Train staff on procedures for taking pictures and writing descriptions.
  • Box up auction lots and label them for easy identification on pickup day.
  • Project manage the team and drive productivity to meet contract deadlines, maintaining 6 lots per hour.
  • Assist with advertising and marketing / social media for online auctions.
  • Assist with writing/developing SOPs.
  • Ensure auction lots are organized for auction pickup.
  • Responsible for the master pickup signature sheet; having winning bidders sign and filing signed copies upon auction completion.
  • Ensure the safety of the property during auction pickup.
  • Responsible for day of pickup sales.
