About The Position

The Transit & Airport division of Lamar Advertising is hiring an Installer for their Lamar office in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is responsible for installing advertising campaigns on transit fleets, bus shelters, and train stations, adhering to Lamar and various Transit Authorities guidelines. The position also involves maintenance of bus shelters, and the cleaning and removal of expired advertisements. Lamar Advertising is a large outdoor advertising company with a focus on helping businesses reach broad audiences through various advertising mediums.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma required
Energetic, reliable, and enjoy working with hands.
Reliable when dealing with instructions and documenting installs.
Quick learner and able to communicate well with the Operations Manager.
Ability to work with transit fleets/authorities
Ability to read and work from written instructions
Ability to document installations, through photographs and written logs
Ability to communicate with different levels of management and transit personnel
Ability to read and interpret detailed spreadsheets, including inventory logs and advertisements that need to be installed and removed

Nice To Haves

3-M Certification Program
Experience in vinyl graphics installation, sign shop, and/or vehicle wrap experience preferred.
Preferred 6 months to 1-year experience working in an industry in which working well with hands and attention to detail was required (i.e., auto body shop, vehicle wrapping, sign shop, flooring, carpentry).

Responsibilities

Install and remove traditional and signature advertisements/campaigns on the interior and exterior of buses, trains, train stations, and shelters.
Keep an accurate and up-to-date inventory of advertisements being installed or removed, noting transit numbers, and the advertisements removed and replaced.
Track daily installations to ensure timely completion and alignment with estimated labor hours.
Maintain transit bus shelters, including repairing damages, replacing light bulbs, and removing graffiti.
Report damages to shelters and advertisements for reordering and replacement.
Maintain a strong relationship with the operations manager and staff of the transit districts through effective communication and understanding of yard processes.
Keep storage/warehouse organized.
Maintain vehicle and machinery appearance and report any required maintenance to the Operations Manager.
