About The Position

STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Transit/Rail Engineering Intern to join its team. This internship offers undergraduate and graduate-level candidates the opportunity to work alongside experienced team members, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. The position is hybrid and requires at least three days a week in the office. Preference will be given to candidates who can participate for at least three months and work full-time. The position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or an NCEES-equivalent institution.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
Ability to participate in the internship for at least three months and work full-time.

Responsibilities

Use MicroStation and AutoCAD to assist with the design of rail alignments, drainage systems, grading, and other infrastructure.
Participate in a variety of planning, design, and construction projects.
Support the development of construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
Assist in developing technical design reports, calculations, and memos.
Periodically perform field inspections.
Perform research to support the development of design solutions.
