The Transit Parts Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventories of a variety of parts, equipment, and supplies that are required to support transit fleet and facility maintenance. The work involves ensuring accuracy of inventories in automated vehicle maintenance systems, resolving inventory discrepancies, verifying shipments and billing, and assisting fleet maintenance personnel by identifying and issuing required inventory items. This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) career service and three (3) special duty assignment (SDA) and/or term limited temporary (TLT) Transit Parts Specialist vacancies. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility list for future career service, special duty assignment (SDA) and term limited temporary (TLT) vacancies that may occur in this classification within this workgroup. The eligibility list will be retained for 12 months from the date of posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority.
