Transit Outreach Specialist, SEPTA SCOPE

CATCHPhiladelphia, PA
Onsite

About The Position

CATCH is partnering with SEPTA to build a new outreach team focused on connecting vulnerable people across Philadelphia’s transit system with the help and services they need. As an Outreach Specialist, you’ll work in a two-person field team, primarily engaging people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges and substance use. You’ll build trust, assess immediate needs and connect people to shelter, treatment, recovery support, behavioral health care and other community resources. When someone accepts help, you’ll help make that connection happen. This is hands-on outreach work, not security or law enforcement. You’ll have CATCH’s behavioral health and community-service network behind you, work closely with SEPTA and other partners throughout the city, and have the training, technology and tools needed to do the job well.
