Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Proficient with CANVA, Social Media (including Facebook, Twitter) and Microsoft Office Suite.
A valid Virginia Driver’s license.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or college coursework in marketing, communication, public relations, graphic design, business, or a related field preferred.
One (1) year experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, or related field.
Experience in Adobe Suites.

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of various communications strategies and campaigns, creating departmental materials like newsletters, and supporting the Fredericksburg Regional Transit’s Marketing Plan.
Managing web page content and layout, as well as developing and supporting social media strategies on platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Collaborate on public timetables and schedules, distribute printed timetables, and update displays throughout the community.
Supporting daily customer communications, including posting customer alerts.
Take photographs or make videos for marketing purposes and manage customer signage inventory, placement, and design.
Create publication materials such as brochures and fact sheets, and support the content management of the transit intranet page in line with internal branding and messaging.
Maintain a personal calendar of projects, events, and activities, along with performing various other assigned duties.
