About The Position

The Mission At Omega Health Services, we believe that access to care starts with a safe ride. We are looking for a dedicated Transit Driver to join our Martinsburg team. You aren’t just driving a vehicle; you are ensuring our patients and staff reach their destinations with dignity, safety, and comfort. Focus: Martinsburg & Surrounding Communities This role is based out of our Martinsburg, West Virginia hub. We are specifically looking for a local expert who is comfortable navigating the unique layout of our city and the surrounding regional routes.

Requirements

Strong, functional knowledge of Martinsburg, WV, and the surrounding Berkeley and Jefferson County road networks.
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger endorsement.
Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (healthcare or transit settings preferred).
A clean record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
Ability to pass a comprehensive physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
Minimum of 18 years old (21+ if interstate transport is required).

Nice To Haves

Prior experience operating passenger buses in a clinical environment.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and emergency roadside procedures.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled and on-demand transport in a safe, courteous manner, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and Omega safety protocols.
Conduct rigorous pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, brakes, tires, safety gear). You’ll be responsible for reporting mechanical needs immediately and maintaining a clean vehicle.
Provide hands-on assistance for passengers with mobility challenges, including professional boarding/de-boarding and the expert securing of wheelchairs.
Maintain meticulous logs for trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
