About The Position

Verra Mobility is launching a focused enterprise transformation to drive substantial incremental value over the next three years through operational excellence, strategic initiatives, and disciplined execution. The Transformation Leader will play a central role in this effort as a leader within the Transformation Office, working alongside the Chief Transformation Officer to bring the strategy to life for how to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact initiatives across the company. This role combines strategy, program leadership, financial rigor, and cross-functional influence. The Transformation Leader will help convert strategic ideas into structured workstreams and initiatives, drive execution and accountability across business segments and functions, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable, sustainable financial results. The successful candidate will be a sleeves-rolled-up strategist and player-coach, bringing strong analytical capability, operational judgment, strong leadership skills, with the ability to spearhead and drive complex strategic initiatives across a matrixed organization. The Transformation Leader will lead a small and very capable team with expansive influence across initiatives, operating as part of a high-impact Transformation Office responsible for driving enterprise-wide strategy and value creation.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, complex program management, corporate development, or operational leadership
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation or operational improvement programs
  • Strong financial and analytical capability with experience building business cases and quantifying value
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence
  • Proven ability to drive results through influence
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief Transformation Officer and executive leadership team to identify and prioritize high-impact value creation opportunities across the enterprise.
  • Translate strategic opportunities into clearly defined initiatives, including: financial impact targets, sound business cases, cross-functional interdependencies, implementation roadmap, success metrics, and prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain a value creation dashboard and overall program designed to deliver significant incremental financial impact over three years across cost optimization, revenue growth, and margin expansion/operational efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate the transformation portfolio and refine priorities to maximize enterprise value.
  • Lead the design and execution of cross-functional transformation initiatives, working closely with Transformation Office team members, business and functional leaders, and initiative owners.
  • Structuring initiatives into clear workstreams and milestones.
  • Defining initiative charters and success metrics.
  • Scrutinizing priorities and progress.
  • Driving execution through disciplined project management.
  • Removing barriers and accelerating decision-making.
  • Ensure initiatives deliver measurable financial and operational results, not just activity or recommendations.
  • Help establish and operate a best-in-class Transformation Office responsible for driving accountability and transparency across initiatives.
  • Developing initiative tracking frameworks and dashboards.
  • Monitoring progress against financial targets.
  • Leading through influence to resolve conflicts and to remove barriers.
  • Preparing executive-level reporting.
  • Ensuring disciplined execution through structured governance and cadence.
  • Implement and scale transformation tools and methodologies, including vmOS (Verra Mobility Operating System) where applicable.
  • Partner closely with business and functional leaders to ensure strong ownership and execution of initiatives.
  • Influence leaders across the organization to align around transformation priorities, commit resources and leadership attention, and drive execution within their teams.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with senior executives regarding initiative progress, risks and mitigation strategies, and financial impact.
  • Operate as a trusted thought partner to leaders navigating change.
  • Ensure every transformation initiative has clear financial impact metrics, including cost savings, revenue growth, margin improvement, capital efficiency, and process improvement.
  • Work closely with Finance to validate initiative business cases, track realized financial impact, and ensure benefits are sustainable and reflected in operating results.
  • Drive a culture of value realization and accountability across all transformation initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a small team of highly capable individuals within the Transformation Office.
  • Create a high-performance team culture focused on analytical rigor, structured problem solving, ownership and accountability, urgency and speed of execution, and bias for action.
  • Mentor team members and help build long-term transformation capability within the organization.
