About the role We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a municipal solid waste transfer station. The individual fulfilling this role must be flexible to work shifts as assigned, handle special projects assigned by a supervisor and any other related duties. Requirements

A minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
Must be flexible to work different shifts, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

A High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Mechanical, equipment or trade school certificate or training preferred.
Familiarity with heavy equipment including, but not limited to forklifts, excavators, front-end loaders, and sweepers is desirable.
Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations
Acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers
Works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness
Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner

Responsibilities

Perform general site maintenance including, but not limited to yard work, track maintenance, janitorial work and minor repairs
Maintain effective equipment checks (pre and post operations)
Perform general equipment maintenance and repairs as instructed
Maintain various items at the transfer station for continual operation
Provide instructions to customer for proper location of disposal on tipping floor
Perform inspections effectively and accurately in accordance with state mandated Waste Ban Regulations.
Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Perform facility inspection checks as assigned by a Supervisor.
Follow and enforce all required Reworld safety policies and procedures.
