Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience running heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities

  • Operating heavy equipment such as: front-end loaders, skid steers and excavator
  • Ensuring recycled material is sorted into the appropriate piles and loaded into trailers as needed
  • Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working space for all operators and employees
  • Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
  • Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues
