About The Position

This role is responsible for operating transfer presses, ensuring quality control, and adhering to company procedures. The operator will be expected to maintain hourly rates set by management, operate powered industrial trucks and cranes, and handle parts including packaging, sorting, and reworking. A strong understanding of quality, environmental, and safety policies is essential, as is the ability to identify and report nonconforming products and suggest improvements. The position requires proficiency in automatic press operation and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Operate automatic, transfer, and manual presses, including some programming for transfer recipes and feed equipment.
Perform quality verifications using inspection devices and visual inspections according to PLEX Control Plans.
Maintain hourly rates as set by management.
Operate powered industrial trucks and cranes.
Catch, package, sort, and rework parts.
Understand and follow all company procedures and their potential consequences.
Understand the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and company policies, ensuring conformance to customer requirements.
Understand the impact of nonconforming products on customers.
Understand the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
Be aware of the quality impacts of work activities and their role in the Quality System.
Be aware of the environmental and safety impacts of work activities and their role in the Environmental and Safety System.
Know how to submit questions or suggestions related to quality, safety, environmental, and business matters, and initiate continual improvements.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
