About The Position

The Transfer Student Services Student Worker provides administrative and student support to the Transfer Student Services Center. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional higher education setting, allowing students to develop communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while supporting transfer students and center initiatives. This student employment opportunity supports the development of skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies. Through this role, students will strengthen the following competencies: Communication: Students build communication skills by practicing clear, respectful, and professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication in a workplace setting. Requirements

• MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
• Must be Federal Work-Study eligible
• Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
• Student needs to be reliable and on time for assigned work hours.
• Student needs to be detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Enter transcripts for incoming freshman & transfer students
• Follow up on transfer advising appointments. This entails emailing, calling students for registration assistance.
• Proofread transfer guides
• File organization (go through files to determine which records should be scanned).
• Assist with ROAR orientation (if needed)
• TAU SIGMA & PEER MENTOR assistance
