About The Position

Sentara is hiring a RN Transfer Center Bedflow Coordinator for the Fort Norfolk Transfer Center. This position is part time (18 hours per week), day shift. Transfer Coordinators assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate transfers for patient flow throughout the system network. They coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and/or transfers. They also coordinate and communicate the capacity management plan to nursing units, leadership team, and physicians. This role requires clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to meet the standards of care for the patient population, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.

Requirements

Registered Nurse
Experience working in ICU, ED or Transfer Center
Recent Acute Care experience
Ability to multitask, type with reasonable speed and take accurate notes.
Possesses clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to meet standards of care required by the patient population.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude towards all professional contacts.
