About The Position

The Transfer Associate is primarily responsible for transferring a specified number of eggs from egg buggies to setter machines. The role requires using and maintaining personal protective equipment and complying with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.

The position involves checking machines, moving eggs and buggies, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas. The associate must be able to work independently and self-motivate, and must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.

Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hatchery or related poultry industry experience.
• Basic math functions and skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine checks.
• Transfer eggs from buggies into setter machines.
• Pull and push egg buggies.
• Clean and sanitize machines, floors, drains, baskets, buggies, and other items.
• Comply with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs, including wearing personal protective equipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
