About The Position

The Hatchery Associate primarily transfers a specified number of eggs from egg buggies to setter machines. The role includes performing machine checks, moving egg buggies, and cleaning and sanitizing machines, floors, drains, baskets, and buggies. The associate must use and maintain personal protective equipment and comply with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hatchery or related poultry industry experience.
• Basic math functions and skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine checks.
• Transfer eggs from buggies into setter machines.
• Pull and push egg buggies.
• Clean and sanitize machines, floors, drains, baskets, buggies, and related items.
• Comply with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs, and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
