The Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) makes connections and creates experiences with the next generation of Sooners by supporting domestic and international freshman, transfer, and concurrent students throughout the application and decision process. Our team operates from Norman and across the state, nation, and world, partnering with faculty, staff, parents, counselors, and communities to provide guidance and resources to prospective students. Our goal is to build a vibrant OU community by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational, service, involvement, and community experiences. We seek individuals who exhibit integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation. This is a fully remote position and requires residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area or the ability to relocate. Responsible for identifying, attracting, and enrolling prospective students through a variety of recruitment and outreach efforts. This role serves as a key representative of the institution, building relationships with students, families, high school counselors, and community partners. Guides students through the admissions process, reviews applications, conducts interviews, and collaborates with the admissions team to make informed admission decisions. The role involves planning and participating in recruitment events, maintaining accurate records, and supporting college readiness initiatives.
