About The Position

This is a lateral transactional position for an attorney with a minimum of two (2) years of experience capable of managing corporate, real estate, and energy-related transactions. Based fully in San Antonio, TX, the role involves taking lead execution over the structuring, negotiating, and drafting of technical legal agreements, coordinating transaction life cycles from intake to closing, and providing strategic regulatory counsel to new and existing business clients.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission and good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated professional experience handling transactional matters in real estate law and/or business law.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment.
  • High proficiency in legal research, independent critical thinking, and advanced structural legal writing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lead attorney handling all operational aspects of transactional matters across Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Oil, Gas, and Energy Law.
  • Structure, draft, review, and negotiate comprehensive corporate agreements, property deeds, joint venture structures, and asset purchase contracts.
  • Execute rigorous due diligence investigations concerning corporate acquisitions, mergers, property titles, municipal zoning laws, and environmental compliance issues.
  • Manage diverse commercial transactions efficiently from initial strategic planning through final execution and closing.
  • Ensure client transactions adhere strictly to state/federal laws, construction codes, entity formation regulations, and structural corporate governance.
  • Provide data-driven legal advice regarding risk mitigation strategies, corporate contract enforcement mechanisms, and commercial dispute resolutions.
  • Supervise team associates or paralegals within the transactional section while building and maintaining direct professional relationships with clients and opposing counsel.
