About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring all employees are trained to standard by understanding applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. The Training Supervisor will work with management to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position may also cover for an operations Supervisor, directing a shift and contributing to product movements, inspections, and quality checks safely. The role requires the ability to react to emergencies, analyze product movements for inventory management, and foster a positive culture of engagement and operational excellence. Responsibilities include performing audits, developing training plans, understanding systems and assets, and leading internal, airline, and regulatory audits. The Training Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and laws, assisting with interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution. Adherence to safety policies and regulations is mandatory, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, or five years related experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience leading team of 2-5 employees.
  • 1-3 years' experience developing procedures, coaching and ensuring compliance.
  • Sound understanding of Ramp & Passenger Services Operations.
  • Must be able to comply with local airport, FAA and/or U.S. Customs safety, security, and identification requirements and pass a thorough security background check.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Understand applicable policies, procedures, and regulations and work with management to ensure that all employees are trained to standard.
  • Work with the General Manager to understand and apply knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations to ensure the site is in compliance.
  • When covering for an operations Supervisor direct a shift and contributes individually to ensure all product movements, inspections, and quality checks are completed safely.
  • Be prepared to react to emergencies by understanding the correct actions to take that minimize the impact to personnel, assets, and the environment.
  • Analyze and explain all aspects of product movements pertaining to sound inventory management.
  • Foster a positive culture of highly engaged individuals united towards growing knowledge and operational excellence.
  • Perform audits on inspections and cyclic tasks to ensure compliance. Implement additional items as follow up audits.
  • Develop sound training plans that meet all standard requirements and grow the depth and breadth of knowledge of the team.
  • Develop and apply a functional understanding of systems and assets to ensure that the operation is running correctly.
  • Be a primary leader for internal, airline, and regulatory agency audits.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Assists with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Adheres to local, State, and Federal safety policies, and company rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
