About The Position

T12 Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced Training Specialist / Instructor to support the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission (MWCC) CompHub implementation. In this role, you will develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for CompHub end-users, including Commission staff, claimants, attorneys, employers, insurers, and medical providers. You will create engaging training materials, conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, assess training effectiveness, and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content accurately reflects workers’ compensation processes, CompHub workflows, and platform updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical training or instructional design.
  • 3+ years of experience developing e-learning content.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and delivering end-user training for workers’ compensation, insurance, state government claims management, or other regulated industry case management systems.
  • Proficiency in instructional design methodologies including ADDIE and SAM.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training best practices.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and technical concepts.
  • Experience creating video-based training content.
  • Experience developing training materials covering claim intake workflows, FROI submission processes, hearing scheduling, document management, portal navigation, and role-specific CompHub functions.
  • Understanding of MWCC user population characteristics, including the Commission’s diverse external user base of claimants, employers, insurers, attorneys, and medical providers with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online as a platform for publishing, managing, and distributing training materials, user guides, and knowledge base content.
  • Basic familiarity with Azure DevOps release notes and sprint documentation sufficient to incorporate platform updates into training content on a regular basis.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and graphic design tools.
  • Adaptability to learn and teach new technologies quickly in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Ability to conduct training needs assessments and develop targeted instructional content.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to diverse CompHub end-user populations, including Commission staff, claimants, attorneys, employers, insurers, and medical providers.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual instructor-led training sessions, adapting delivery methods to accommodate user groups with varying technical proficiency levels.
  • Develop and maintain engaging training materials, including user guides, job aids, quick reference guides, video-based training content, and e-learning modules.
  • Facilitate training needs assessments with Commission staff and external user groups to identify role-specific training gaps and develop targeted instructional content.
  • Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics; continuously improve content based on findings.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE and SAM, to create structured, outcome-driven training programs.
  • Design training programs for diverse user populations including legal professionals (attorneys), medical providers, employers, insurance representatives, and Commission adjudication staff.
  • Develop training materials covering claim intake workflows, FROI submission processes, hearing scheduling, document management, portal navigation, and role-specific CompHub functions.
  • Create video-based training content using appropriate authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Publish, manage, and distribute training materials, user guides, and knowledge base content via SharePoint Online.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and technical teams to ensure all training content accurately reflects workers’ compensation processes, CompHub workflows, and platform updates.
  • Monitor Azure DevOps release notes and sprint documentation to incorporate platform updates and new feature releases into training content on a regular basis.
  • Partner with the MWCC team to understand the Commission’s diverse external user base characteristics and tailor training content to role-specific needs and technical backgrounds.
  • Brief stakeholders and leadership on training program progress, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.
