About The Position

Responsible for providing training services under the Portsmouth Site Infrastructure Support Services contract. North Wind Dynamics, LLC is an Alaska Native Corporation-owned SBA-certified 8(a) small, disadvantaged business. NWD specializes in facilities maintenance, management, and operations support, delivering reliable, mission-aligned services that ensure smooth day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure resilience. Services include: base operations support services; facilities management/maintenance (MEP, etc.); landscaping, janitorial & pest control; environmental support (waste management, exposure assessments, etc.); safety and quality management; training & records management; IT data center management; safeguards, security & access controls; equipment maintenance; logistics and materials management.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • Must be a citizen of the United States and authorized to work in the US
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government vehicle
  • Proven ability to schedule complex work tasks, manage timelines, and consistently remain on schedule.
  • Demonstrated capability in coordinating the review of critical documents and successfully resolving comments.
  • Skilled in generating, analyzing, and presenting comprehensive reports from EIS data.
  • Experienced in preparing and delivering engaging presentations and instructional material in a classroom setting.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety with a demonstrated ability to strictly follow procedures and organizational guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to Obtain Government Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • National Training Center Instructor Certification or equivalent.
  • Practical knowledge and experience implementing radiological controls

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and independently manage periodic review and update of training modules and training procedures.
  • Develops, revises and maintains training modules, JPMs, procedures and qualification cards in accordance with all applicable DOE Orders, regulatory requirements, federal and state laws and other authorities.
  • Delivers training in a variety of environments including classroom, laboratory, on-the-job, and in the field.
  • Independently develop, design, and implement new training modules and curriculum to meet contract and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist managers in developing Training Position Descriptions (TPDs) and personnel training assignments.
  • Coordinate and independently manage periodic review of TPDs and personnel training assignments.
  • Manage LMS records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with training requirements.
  • Analyze training data and prepare routine training reports to support program operations.
  • Provide technical support for LMS users.
  • Tutors and provides remedial instruction to students when necessary.
  • Schedules classroom training.
  • Assists with the assembly of training materials.
  • Ensures that adequate inventories of training materials and office supplies are maintained.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate classroom and field training activities.
  • Maintains all classrooms and equipment in satisfactory condition.
  • Arranges for necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Administers and grades exams in accordance with proper examination techniques.
  • Maintains a safe working environment.
  • Demonstrates awareness and implementation of applicable environmental, safety and health (ESH&Q) requirements while also alerting coworkers of such requirements as needed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to get along with co-workers, customers, and visitors.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality.
  • Facilitate Radiological Worker classroom and practical training activities.
  • May conduct additional classroom training, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provide input for continuous improvement of the training program
