About The Position

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking a Training Specialist to support Navy training initiatives by leading the analysis, design, development, and implementation of instructional systems and training solutions. The successful candidate will provide expertise in training systems analysis, instructional design, performance improvement, and professional development while collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality training products that support the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Human Performance Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing training systems analysis, instructional systems design, and curriculum development.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary instructional design or curriculum development teams.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting performance analyses and training needs assessments.
  • Experience developing instructional materials, testing and evaluation products, and facilitator-led training.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and Navy training system development processes.
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with government customers, stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of training systems analysis and instructional systems design for Navy training programs.
  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary training design and implementation teams.
  • Research current educational technologies and instructional methodologies to ensure training solutions are appropriate for the intended audience, environment, and learning objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training on structured writing, effective writing techniques, and test-writing principles for course developers.
  • Coordinate, plan, and facilitate professional development workshops in support of the NETC mission.
  • Conduct performance analyses and training needs assessments to identify organizational performance gaps and recommend appropriate training and non-training interventions.
  • Apply systems thinking, job design, and process improvement methodologies to support performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide facilitation support for internal and external meetings, workshops, and collaborative working sessions.
  • Develop original instructional and assessment materials by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and researching technical publications and source documentation.
  • Create clear, accurate, and effective instructional content and evaluation materials.
  • Maintain professional development resources, instructional materials, and training supplies.
  • Represent NETC Training Centers at professional conferences, meetings, and other stakeholder engagements.
  • Provide technical support and resolve issues related to training system applications and functionality.
  • Collaborate with government customers and project teams to ensure training products meet established quality standards and mission requirements.
