About The Position

We're seeking a Training Specialist to join our Learning & Development team. The position is based in Tampa, FL. The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality training experiences for IRT associates. This role focuses on facilitating engaging new hire training sessions, coaching new employees for success in the application, and administering assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness. The Training Specialist plays a key role in ensuring associates have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles effectively. Although a remote position, residing in or near Tampa, FL is required. Independence Realty Trust, Inc (NYSE: IRT) is a real estate investment trust that owns and operates multifamily apartments. Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in training facilitation, preferred within the real estate or property management industry, or in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and facilitation techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in property management software and related systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, and motivate diverse teams.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods during training sessions.
  • Ability to move about to interact with participants, set up training spaces, and operate presentation equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and transport training materials and equipment, up to 25 lbs.
  • Visual and auditory ability to effectively present information and facilitate group discussions, both in-person and virtually
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to various property locations, IRT sponsored events, and industry conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate new hire training and workshops, (both virtual and in-person) delivering engaging and effective learning experiences for all associates utilizing various instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Ensures all team members are proficient in IRT standards, operational procedures, and property management software.
  • Foster an interactive and supportive learning environment, encouraging participation and skill application.
  • Provide individualized coaching and feedback to reinforce training concepts, support skill development, and professional growth.
  • Administer assessments and evaluations to measure associate learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to update training materials and ensure consistency with company policies and industry best practices.
  • Partner with the training coordinator to track employee training.
  • Perform all other related duties assigned by management.
