This is a rare opportunity to be there from the beginning, helping shape the culture and operations of our newest location before the doors even open. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Training Specialist I to join us in Columbia. In this role, you will be instrumental in onboarding and developing our newest employees as the facility opens its doors. You will design, organize, and deliver training programs that build competency, reinforce our core values, and set our employees up for success from day one. This is a 100% onsite role at our Columbia, SC facility.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a training role or related field highly desired.
  • Proven ability to manage the full training cycle — from needs analysis through delivery and evaluation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, research, and project management abilities.
  • Sound organizational skills and confident decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) desired.
  • Comfortable with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Able to work effectively in both collaborative team and independent settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Reliable, consistent attendance in a professional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in Training & Development, Education, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deliver employee training on skills, policies, and compliance topics.
  • Acclimate new hires to the business and lead engaging orientation sessions.
  • Facilitate training using a variety of adult learning formats including e-learning modules, group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with the L&D team and subject matter experts to develop solutions.
  • Assess training effectiveness and recommend retraining or corrective actions where needed.
  • Coordinate logistics including scheduling, AV setup, room preparation, and distribution of training materials.
  • Support Learning Management System (LMS) administrative duties and training content development.
  • Adhere to all information security and privacy responsibilities per company policy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
